From the Quotation of the day mailing list, 2007-01-05:

"I've been waist-deep in a dead hippopotamus, and I'd rather do that than change diapers." -- Eric Humphries, production manager at Skulls Unlimited International, on getting used to his line of work. The company claims to be the world's leading supplier of bones, both human and animal, which they clean and process at their Oklahoma City facility.

Me, I'd rather change diapers. At least the body parts involved are related to me. And cuter than a dead hippopotamus. Besides, a dead hippopotamus does not giggle when its bellybutton is raspberried.

I don't know if I've ever seen a cute baby, but I have an abnormally low response to neoteny in general.

Yeah, I'd rather stand inside a dead hippo than change diapers, too. People look at you funny if you wear rubber gloves, hipwaders, and/or other personal protective equipment while changing diapers.
